Behind a gate so far away,

a home awaits for me;

Because I called upon the Lord,

that he would set me free.

 

I'm free from Satan's hold on me;

free from Hell's domain.

Since I called upon the Lord,

my life's not been the same.

 

Each day I ponder and debate,

of how I could be used;

To help another soul somewhere,

 and bring to them good news.

 

The gate of Heaven opens wide,

for those who seek to enter;

God is calling everyday,

to each and every sinner.

 

Many people on this earth,

from every tribe and nation;

Hear the truth, but even still,

they turn away Salvation.

 

If I could get across to them,

the Love God has for man;

If I could only make them see~~

how God has for them a plan. 

 

God never wants to "push" His way,

on those who won't accept;

But nonetheless, I yearn inside, 

for those who need His help.  

 

So if by chance I could convince,

if by chance I could persuade;

I would choose you to have this gift

of which dear Jesus paid.

 

But I won't pound upon your door,

instead, I guess I'll say;

That Heaven's gate is open now,

but it will be closed someday.
