HOW DID YOU SLEEP?
How did you sleep
last night,
was it warm, was it
dry
at home in your nice
warm bed,
where you could hear
your baby cry.
Just think of our
Boys and Girls,
in a far away distant
land
their
little babies back home,
their
bed made of dirty desert sand.
How did you sleep
last night,
how about April 10,
2003
open your calendar,
go back to then,
how well did you
sleep on April 10.
Close your eyes for
30 seconds
think of exactly
where you had been,
Now open your eyes
and scroll on down
down below I have
something to show.

This
is where our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers,
or sisters slept 2 to 4 hour naps. |

No
shelter, showers, no hot meals walking hour after hour
mile after mile. |

In
the hot desert sun wearing rubber protective suits,
where ever they could stop for a few minutes. |

And
far to the north so wet and cold, were our troops each
one brave and bold, gave up all comforts, and risked
their lives, so that others might be free.
When
you go to bed tonight, give thanks to God for our troops
brave and true, that are risking their lives for me and
for you. |
