LETTER FROM HEAVEN

(In 1989 a small child was taken from this life in an automobile accident.

It was then that this poem was inspired.  So to all parents, grandparents, & loved ones who have lost a child you love.....this poem is for you).

  Hi Mommy, it's me!

I see you in my bedroom,

sitting all alone.

I know you're feeling really sad,

since Jesus called me "home."

But don't be disappointed,

and don't be feeling blue.

Cause Jesus had a plan for me,

and he has a plan for you.

I'm really in a better place,

and Mommy, God's little light does shine.

It's never dark with Jesus here.

So see, I'm doing fine.

There's fruit trees all around.

And Mommy, Streets of Gold!

But we don't need no money here,

cause nothing's ever sold.

There's people you know here.

But no one here is old.

With God's little light-a-shinin',

there's no wrinkled hands to hold.

So could you tell my grandpa,

that someday his back won't ache.

And grandma, no more hot days in the kitchen,

cause here, there's no need to bake.

Colors doesn't matter here,

but they're here and glowing bright.

And remember when I couldn't count?

Well, now I can count my numbers right.

There's flowing waters here, Mommy.

It's more fun than the tub.

You should see it sparkle,

cause God touched it with His love.

And no one's ever mad here.

No one's ever feeling blue.

I hope someday you'll join me.

And then you can feel it too.

All the people here, Mommy,

that Jesus let come in,

When they died and came to Heaven,

He cleansed them free from sin.

I'm telling you this, Mommy,

Cause I want you to know,

that you can come be with me someday,

if you let Him cleanse your soul.

And don't be mad at God, Mommy,

for letting me come here.

I have no bumps or bruises.

And I never cry a tear.

I do love it here, Mommy.

So don't you cry no more.

Let me see you smile again.

Pick yourself up off the floor.

And Dad, I know that you're hurt too.

But just try to be strong.

You and Mommy need each other now,  to help you move along.

I know you feel so burdened,

feel you're up against the wall.

But my dad can be strong I know,

cause he stands big and tall.

You think your world has ended.

But don't let this keep you down.

Start a new life without me there.

Just keep my memory around.

You're two very special people.

For a while "together" God let us be.

And those little songs you used to sing

You're right!  Jesus does love me!

But Jesus loves you, Mommy & Daddy.

See look! He has outstretched hands.

I'm sorry you can't see Him now.

But He's welcoming you to this lovely land.

Think about the things I've said,

and I know you will survive.

Cause Jesus has a reason, Mommy,

for everything in life.

Well, I better go now.

Just didn't want you to be so sad.

Someday when Jesus says,

"Come  Home!"

Will I see you here Mom & Dad?

Bye Mommy.  Bye Daddy.

I love you!

The bible says in Psalms 116:15  "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

Only after death do we really begin to live.
