MY PERSONAL DRUG PROBLEM

by: Texas Bob 3-17-2002

I had what I thought was a terrible "drug"

problem when I was a youngster.

At times I thought I could never get out of it.

It haunted me constantly, I could do nothing about it.

There was no help for me, no one would help,

I fought it alone.

I was "drug" to church on Sunday morning.

I was "drug" to church on Sunday night, and I
was "drug" to church on Wednesday night.

I was "drug" to Sunday School;

I was "drug" to vacation Bible school.

I was "drug" to the family altar to pray.

I was also "drug" to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a
bad report card or did not speak with respect.

Those "drugs" are still in my veins, and they affect my behavior in nearly everything I do, say and think.

They are stronger than cocaine, crack or heroin.

If more children had this "drug" problem today,

and a few trips to the woodshed.

America would certainly be a better place.
