Gosh,.. What in heaven's name is all this about?..

Sherrie and I were picking up a few things for some of the ''Wounded

Warriors'' in the Hospital,..including ''Toy's for Tot's'',..a Great Program.

Heard a ''Blood Curdling'' Scream,..thought some kid was being ''Disciplined!''

Well,.rounded the bend,..a Mom was ''Trying'',..and I do mean trying to

correct her ''Child'',...The word ''Monster'' came to my mind!..

''If You Don't Stop Running Around in the Store and Grabbing Thing's in

the Store,. I'm going to ''Smack You!'' She was 'Bellowing'' as she had a

''Kung-Fu'' grip on his arm,..Her ''Three Other'' kid's were hiding,.. You

could hear their ''Chuckling'' at their Brother's 'awaiting Fate''..

''If You 'Touch Me,..I'll Call The Police and They'll 'Arrest You!'',.. The little

''Angel'' yelled out!...She Promptly Grabbed All the little ''Leprechaun's'' ..

being ''beet red'' in the Face and made a ''hasty retreat'' out to her car!..

''Wait till Your Dad Gets Home!'',..Do You Remember that ''Cry?''..

It put ''Fear'' in my heart,..counting the minutes,..seconds until the ''Hand

of Justice'' came home!,..Good O'l Dad!

Now,..What ''Story'' can I give him,..Will He use His Hand,..The Strap,. or

the ''Broom Handle''...if He can 'catch me!,...

Back in the ''Old Day's'',....Yup,.. You Were indeed ''Disciplined'',..and it was

for Anything!,..Even the Mom's down the block took ''Justice'' in their Own

hands!..Heck it was 'expected' back when!..

O'l Gram-ma,..Her Favorite ''Tool of Justice'' was what she called the ''Switch''

a 'skinny'' flexible tree branch,...''Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson'' had

nothing on me back the,..I could ''Tap Dance AND Moonwalk'' way before

they even had a name for it when ''Grammy'' had the ''Switch!''

Christmas Dancing!,..I became ''Dancer and Prancer'' all in one step,..but

first,..You had to ''catch me!''

No,...I wasn't that ''Bad'',. but an ''Angel'' I wasn't either!...

Now,..Discipline is ''one thing'',.I agree,.. Look at 'our generation',.We did

not 'Stab or Shoot' each other back then,..No ''Cop's'' were called,..in fact

The Police ''encouraged'' Parent's back then not to ''Spare the Rod and

Spoil the Child!''

Our neighbor AND a Police Officer,..''Mr. Flanagan'',..of course He

was Irish,. my Mother,. being Irish got a 'kick' out of having him

for a neighbor,..

My Dad and Him and ''Officer Flanagan'' would 'B.B.Q.' together during

the Summer!

Once I got into 'Trouble' for fighting,.. O'l ''Officer Flanagan'' came by the

house,.at my 'Dad's'' bequest to talk to me,..My Mother,..Smiling at

Mr. Flanagan ''setting me straight''and my ''Dear O'l Dad'' giving Me

His 'World War Two''..'Thousand Yard Stare''..Well..Officer ''Flanagan''

'Pop's'' up with this....

And ''What Lesson did ya learn little fella?''.Now with half the ''Neighborhood'' kid's

watching,..''A Pride'' thing and all,..I Blurt out,..''Not to Get Caught!'',..

He tapped me on my head with his ''night-stick'' chuckling and Say's..

''Ah,. You are a handful,..I'll leave the rest for your Father to take care of!''

The ''Little Kid'' in the Store was right!,..If You ''Discipline'' any one,..You

''Go to Jail!'',..

What Happened to Our Country!,..Kid's ''Run Rampant'',.. Pregnancy at

their highest starting at 12 yrs, old,..Drug's and ''Gun's' in Children's

hands!..

Guess I'll Stop talking,..Enough Said!..Think About it!...Who is running

the House!
