I watched the sun slowly go down last night,..then I watched it ''slooooowly'' creep up over the ''white snow capped mountains''

as it brought in the ''New Year''...

I watched as the ''Shadows of Last Year gave way to the Coming Shadows of the New Year'',..It was as if a ''Great Blessing''

from GOD came,..

A ''New Year'',..a 'Rebirth' of sorts you could say...

The ''Old Fades Away into the Shadows'',.. and as the ''New Year'' comes,..GOD in His Wisdom puts the Past Behind,.and as the

New Year comes,.a ''New Life'' is Started. We begin all over again as We make Our New Year Promises..

It is True when we say..''Yesterday is History''..Done,..''Spilled milk'',...''Water under the bridge!''...

We again become ''New in Life'',.and Hopefully Many Become ''New in Faith'',.or at least Renew Their Faith...How many 'Broken Promises'

Broken Vows,..Broken Dreams have All of Us left behind?..

GOD in His Understanding lets this time of the Year become a ''Beginning of a New Covenant'' with Him,...It is a Second Chance to

again ''Be One With'...be with the Lord,.walk again in His Light,..let last years ''Dark Shadows stay behind the mountain!

We were given a Great Country, so Blessed by GOD to live in, lets All start over today,.in Prayer,..in Faith and ''Vow'' to correct

the things that got away from Us last year,or the things that slipped by!

Jeremiah-7:5-7..'' If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the alien,

the fatherless or widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then

I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers foe ever and ever.''

We are here for such a short time on this earth,..it is like a ''way'' station...as we transition from one life to ''Eternal'' life as promised.

I compare it as looking into a ''rear-view'' mirror as life drives by,..are we ''Speed-Bumps'' in life,.running the 'Red-Lights'

or do we even try to 'Slow Down' through the ''Caution Lights'' that the Bible tells us about!...Bible!..Yup,.that 'Old Instruction Book''

of life many folks fail to read...

We read the ''Car Repair'' Manuel when our cars show the ''Engine Check'' light,.but we fail to read our own life Manuel when the

'' Warning Light'' comes on....

I Finally,..after years of ''Fender-Benders'' and getting ''Tickets'' from God have decided to just ''Let Jesus'' Drive!...My Life has

actually gotten better,..I seem to hit all of the ''Green Lights''..and have stayed on the right road..

Don't get me wrong now,..the Lord does hand the ''Wheel'' over to me,..Seems at that point I get a ''wee-bit'' lost,..take wrong turns,..

Detours,..and even go the ''Wrong Way'' on HIS ..''One Way Street!''...Wish He had a 'Drivers Ed.' class!...

No,..I'm not going to ''Preach'' all morning,..I hear a couple of ''Snores'' coming from a corner, and see a few ''Frosted and Glazed''

eyelids down the hall!..So!,..I'm going to get me a ''Fresh Cup O' Joe'' and let YOU get on with Your ''New Year-New Life!''

But...''Hang in there Henry!''..I need to leave you with a few ''Parables!''...
