Lets go back a ''Few Years''...Better make it 'Quite a Few Years Now',..to a time where We as Children learned to

'Ride a Bike!'

We All Remember Our ''First Bike''...whether it was a new ''Schwinn'' or a used off brand model,..We were the

''Kings'' of the Hood then,....But!...We were still little 'Fritters' in a 'Big Boy's' World and needed Help in learning

to ride like ''Road Warrior's!''...That's where Dad's became Our ''Hero's'' as they were the Masters of 'Sidewalk'

Freewheeling as they would attempt to teach Us How to Master the Sidewalk on Our Bikes!...

You could call it an early attempt at a ''Walk of Faith'' on wheels, as We put ''Our Faith''...and Our Life in O'l Dad's

Capable hands,..the same one that had the belt in it last week,..Teaching You ''How to Behave!''..The ''Tool of

Success'' that gave us the ''Push'' was the 'Good O'l Training Wheels!''.

Gave Us a sense of ''Independence'' in Our New World,..I guess You could say it was a ''False Independence,'' since

We would Never really be able to ''Free-Wheel'' until We learned how to ride without them,..but all the same, it was

Dad's tool to Help Us Learn How to 'Gain Independence!'...

What a 'Hoot!'...We All on the ''Block'' would see the Block Dad's trailing behind the ''Little Fritters'' Giving them all

everyday after Dad got off work!...Seems that was what Dad's were made for,..besides being the 'Disciplinary' guy!

Wasn't nothing back then to see Dad's running around the block pushing or 'goading' little Johnny to pedal harder-

pedal faster till He could soon hold the bike upright and the ''Training Wheels'' didn't touch the ground!...Then came

the ''Truth''...The Big Chill,...The ''Test!''...Training Wheels Came Off!...Time to ''Earn Your Place'' with the 'Big Boy's!'

Ready!...Remember what I Taught You now,..Have Confidence and ''Faith'' in Yourself Son,..You can 'Do-it!'...

Easier said than Done the First couple of tries,..a Few 'Scrapped' knee's, a Band-Aid and a Kiss from ''Mother''

and You were back in the seat,..pedaling like Crazy,..Having ''Crashed'' on the First few tries..Dad running alongside

You..Knowing that He was Holding the Bike seat,..giving a sense of Security...But when You Realized that He let

go,..You ''Panicked''..and of course,...You went down in flames!

This of course was expected,..as You,..Your Dad when He was Young and Many Before Them All did the ''Band-Aid''

Boogie!...But soon though,..You got used to having those ''Training Wheels'' off,..and Finally found Yourself riding

with-out Dad Running alongside of You,..In Fact,.After You learned how to ride,..Your Dad was ''Running After You!''

Trying to get You to ''Come Home'' for Dinner!..Like I said,..''Dad's''..What a Hoot!...

So now,..How does the ''Bible'' Tie into this Message of ''Love'' and Faith from a Father?...Lets read a little Scripture...

Philippians-4:13...''I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.''

Psalm-18:2...''The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.''

GOD,..Doesn't He through Scripture..and through His Son Jesus do for Us as ''Our Dad's'' did,..Teach Us how, in

Our ''Walk of Faith'',..learn to Slowly find Faith in Our self through HIS Word and Strength,... and eventually 'Remove'

''Path's of Life'' on Our Own?...

Yes,..We Need Guidance and ''Our Father'' to Hold Us Steady as We Learn,..but in Time We too Must and Can take

that Step and Conquer Our Own Fears and learn how to Become ''One With God,''...Sometimes it takes a Lifetime.

That ''Bike Path leads to Heaven,..and as You get there,.You'' stack that Bike at the Gate,..Turn in Your ''Training Wheels''

for ''Wings'' as the Lord Welcomes You by saying...''Well Done, My Good and Faithful Servant''..as Your Own 'Earth Dad'

said to You when You learned how to Ride..''Good Job Sonny!''
