SANTA'S HIGH TECH BLUES

From
one work bench to another;
Santa makes his way-
Checking the list of boys and girls-
before packing that big 'ol sleigh
They
used to ask for dolls and wagons;
now high tech is their choice-
X-box; I-pods; cyberwaves galore;
No more letters to Santa; They instant
message with voice!
Suzie
wants a cell phone; A plasma
screen T.V.-
With HD and surround sound-
Oh! Mercy, mercy me!
Digital
cameras; and DVD's;
megapixels and bytes-
Memory chips and hard drives-
it's gonna' be a real long night!
Wireless keyboards; and a mouse
that surfs-
Remote controls for all-
Touch screen software; Upgraded computers;
to eliminate web-page stall
CD
burners and flat thin monitors;
what happened to yo-yo's and jacks?
Slinkies and tops; Jump ropes and bikes?
Now it's HP's; Apples; and Imac's
Now
Santa, he's a real cool guy;
and tries his best to please-
But every year gets harder and harder;
"You wanna' what?" "Oh Gees!"
