My
home has a room made of love
With a door that won’t open even
if I shove.
I can’t get in for I lack the
key
But one day it will open quite
easily.
The light in the room is clear
and bright
That shines by day and dims at
night
And the room is warm and full of
cheer
For in that room are those most
dear.
All those whose love I’ve shared
And those for whom I really
cared
Are in that room waiting for me
To one day join them in
eternity.
I
miss their love, their touch,
their smile
And when I think of them, every
once in a while,
My heart aches again with the
pain of loss
And the wish is strong, the
barrier to cross.
I must stay here, for that’s
God’s plan
That’s not to be changed by the
wish of man.
Stay and work and wait God’s
call
To join with them in his Holy
Hall.
