You know who I'm
talkin' 'bout;
I forget his name-
That guy that once
worked with wood-
for a shy amount of
gain-
He went on to much
greater things;
so many stories
told-
I once heard he
walked on water-
some found that
absurd
Then there was one
about the fish;
with three he fed a
crowd-
Some would follow
him anywhere-
and when he spoke;
They bowed
.
They said he gave
sound back to the
deaf;
and restored sight
for the blind-
Healed the crippled;
They walked again-
Turned water into
wine
He had twelve he
sent to spread;
his message all
about-
But some were not as
faithful-
and they would sell
him out
Some he frightened
with his words;
they couldn't let
him live-
His trials and
torture would begin-
but forgiveness to
them, he'd give
I hear they hung him
from a cross;
drove nails through
his hands-
On his head a crown
of thorns-
How much could he
stand?
They said his name
was Jesus;
His Father's only
Son-
and he died there on
that cross-
for the sins of
everyone
His blood would
stain the wood;
as tears fell that
day-
From all the eyes
that sadly watched-
to Heaven he found
his way
You know who I'm
talkin' 'bout;
The One that works
with souls-
I believe His name
is Jesus-
and He died to make
us whole
